Kiosk Centers
The Mann Deshi’s Kiosk Center gives farmers the opportunity to strategically plan and manage farming activities and wisely market their products. The services offered at the Kiosk Center include the provision of government-announced prices of various agricultural products, fertilizer and pesticide compliances, and crop diagnosis. Functioning as an agricultural market information clearing house and farmers’ social hub, the kiosk center will enhance the existing local farmers’ organizations as well as their farming and marketing skills.
The Kiosk center also offers farmers direct access to technical experts. Farmers can post a question on www.aaqua.org, the Indian government’s official website for agriculture, and receive an answer within one day. Questions range from soil quality to combating crop diseases. This direct link with technical experts allows farmers to maximize their crop yield.
Mann Deshi launched its first Kiosk Center for Farmers in 2006, in Pusegaon, and is planning another in Pusesavli.
